Another week has flown by and the sun is shining - hopefully it will last all weekend. It has been a busy week once again. Mornings were a bit different this week, as we were helping the Year 6s, by giving them our tables for their Sats, so we used the time wisely with PSHE sessions and solving our Ancient Greek Murder Mystery. The PSHE topic was focused on Happy and Safe Relationships, and although we still have some sessions to go, the class were superb in their responses to concepts such as, 'What makes a good friend?' and 'How can we help others?'. There was a great hands on maths session focused on capacity and in literacy, the class wrote their own Greek legends. To end the week, today was the Science Topic Day for Living Things. After exploring different life cycles - the class 'got' creative making their own animal out of plasticine, designing its life cycle and then creating a diorama of its habitat. There was a lot of glitter and fun, as well as some fantastic focused learning. Remember next Friday is 'Hit the Surf' - letters have gone home today and it is nearly half term - this busy term is certainly flying by. Have a good weekend everyone.
PS I almost forgot - we also had a cream tea to celebrate the Royal Wedding and read outside as part of our Outdoor Learning.
