Our Trip to Glendurgan Gardens
On Tuesday, both Y4 classes went Glendurgan Gardens on the Helford River as part of our topic work on plants in the local environment. The morning was spent weaving our way down through the valley gardens, looking at the different plants and flowers, sketching some of them and creating poems as the inspiration took us.
We spent lunch on the beach. After eating, we tried skimming stones and exploring the rock pools.
The maze in the gardens helped to develop our resilience and perseverance, as we tried to find our way to the hut in the centre and then, with difficulty for some, to find our way out! Congratulations to all who made it!
